“The only criticism I have ever heard about Orange County wedding planner, Laurie Davies of Five Star Weddings & Events, is that she should rename her company to 10 Star Weddings and Events. I have had the pleasure to speak to many of Laurie’s brides and all they say is: “WOWIE, WOW, WOW WOW!!!”
—Kathleen HowardMy company has had the distinct pleasure of working with Laurie Davies for the past 12 years. Laurie is at the very top of her profession as a wedding coordinator and is uniquely skilled in all aspects of what she does for her clients.

Sincerely,
Laurie had already been so wonderful the first time I met her. I was looking for someone who has creative eyes and was able to turn those ideas into reality and she did it! She was always so on top of thing (I was the one who’s always slacking off). And under any kinds of situation, she could always get me what I wanted. She had pulled together a perfect wedding for William and I which had created the memory for us that we will remember for life time. My friends and I are still talking about the wedding till this day. And I think it’s hard for any of my unmarried friends to top that……unless they hire Laurie. Laurie, thank you so much for creating this wonderful wedding for us, this is the precious memory that will last forever. Thank you so much again!
Laurie, you can MOST DEFINITELY put my name down on a referral list. You were so amazing– impressive, knowledgeable, organized, fun, fast, calming, and reassuring—pretty much everything a bride could ever ask for in a coordinator and more! Not to mention treating us as friends rather than clients alone. Jay and I thank you SO much; I cannot imagine things going as smoothly and wonderfully all the way down to the small details without your help! We have gotten so many kind words on the wedding and the whole weekend. If your ears have been burning it’s because I’ve been bragging on you
and happy holidays soon to come.
Dear Laurie,
On behalf of Tom and I and our entire families, we thank you so much for your exquisite execution of our wedding on May 24th at Sherman Gardens. It was more amazing and special than we had even imagined. You really worked with us and our vendors to bring out every detail we had planned and we greatly appreciate your efforts. We know it must have been especially challenging to work with such a large wedding party, with over 30 people and most of them under the age of 12! But you gracefully and efficiently helped each person, most of them family, take on each of their roles in the wedding. We are still amazed and so grateful to have worked with you. Each of us had the time and energy to enjoy every moment of our very special day-Thanks to you!

Laurie Davies from the beginning of our engagement led us to have the most amazing rehearsal, wedding and brunch. From the moment we set foot at the hotel Laurie was available for any questions or concerns that we might have had. One of the many things that stood out is Laurie’s understanding of each person’s
The wedding day was a work of perfection! The moment we woke up we had the assistant at our door ready to take care of anything that may arise. We had lunch ordered for all of us and our itinerary was a helpful guide to what our day was based off of. All I worried about was getting ready. I didn’t have to worry about bridesmaids since they were all there and the assistant was ready with an iron to press any wrinkled dresses. My dress was pressed and ready to be put on at the time indicated. It was amazing how
Thank you!
“A great way to personalize your wedding is to have a close friend or parent perform the ceremony; they can easily become ordained over the Internet. One of my favorite personalization ideas is for the bride to make her bouquet especially meaningful by attaching an antique brooch from a loved one, or even her parents’ wedding rings.”

Dear Laurie,
I am writing this letter to express my profound appreciation for the professionalism and perfection displayed at my daughter’s wedding reception held at the monarch bay beach club. The whole late afternoon and evening affair was magical and elegant, seamless and efficient. You were the consummate hostess. You answered every need and request that required your attention and experience without skipping a beat and without calling attention to yourself. Your graciousness, underlined with a confident exhibition of style and class, earmarked your value as a remarkably talented coordinator and manger of events such as our reception to our greatest expectations. Bravo! Thank you!!!
Affectionately,
Just like a bride and groom, a vendor knows when they are working with a truly gifted planner. Laurie is that and so much more. Her events are like Broadway Productions and she brings only the very best talent together to offer YOU the most perfect day of your life. This is where experience trumps inexperience. One of the most respected Event Coordinators in the industry, Laurie Davies has the knowledge, talent, class and professional resources to make it all appear easy. Believe me, it is not! It is always an honor to work with her…you will think so, too.

Laurie,
I have finally had time to sit down and write this most important letter. I cannot express to you how thankful we are that we had you as our wedding coordinator. From our very first meeting I knew you were a blessing from God. Without your knowledge and expertise, our wedding would not have been half the experience it was.
Our wedding was a dream come true! Every detail was perfection and it is all because of you. When I met with you the first time I told you that I had this vision some what like Father of the Bride, with out the Father of the Bride Budget. I also explained that it was important to us that my son was incorporated into the vows and the reception.
When I walked into the reception, I was overwhelmed…It was Father of the Bride! I even had family members tell me “This is like a fantasy…just like the reception in Father of the Bride” My son told me that he had “the best time ever!” (A huge compliment coming from a 9 year old) The DJ and the florist was fabulous and the entire experience was a dream come true!
Thank you for making a lifetime memory for our Family! You were a heaven sent blessing!

Dear Laurie,
Thank you for all your planning and assistance for Kim and Mark’s wedding and reception. You were able to assist us in so many ways from referrals to vendors as well as wedding dress shops, alterations, and cleaning and preserving her wedding dress.
We were confident that you would handle the details of the wedding day so that we could enjoy our guests and we very much appreciated that when the reception had come to an end, our car was packed and ready for us to leave. We now have many wonderful memories of Kim and Mark’s wedding that will stay with us forever.
Laurie, you enjoy what you do and that is reflected in the excellent, caring, professional and quality service that you provided us. We highly recommend your services to everyone and we enjoyed working with you.
Many thanks to you,
Hello Laurie,
We would really like to give our most sincere thanks to you for our flawless wedding on October 3, 2005 at St. Regis Resort in Dana Point. I had heard many stories where the bride and groom were not able to eat or enjoy their wedding. We not only got to eat, we fully enjoyed our guests, the beautiful flowers, and the entertainment. It was all thanks to you and your team, Marla and Asuka. We were very happy with all the vendors that we hired with your recommendation. It was reassuring to have someone there for the most hectic 8 months of our planning. You taught me everything from when to start sending thank you cards to how to stop crying (drink with a straw…wow!). Thank you for sticking by me during the frustrating last months. I cherish all the laughter we shared. I will always have your number handy the next time one of my friends decides to get married. Thank you for the most beautiful and memorable wedding ever! If you need someone to call for recommendations, I would be happy to write/talk to any future brides.
Take care,
“Laurie Davies is extremely professional and always a pleasure to work with. Her experience in the industry allows her to create captivating and thoughtful events for her clients. I look forward to each event we share as I know that everything will be flawless and leave a lasting impression on each guest in attendance.”

Plenty of wedding celebrations—usually for religious reasons or space limitations—do without dancing. But if you want a lively party, plan on a first dance before you sit out the rest. “Traditionally, no one takes a spin around the dance floor until the bride and groom have their first dance,” says Laurie Davis, a wedding planner and owner of Five Star Weddings and Events in Laguna Niguel, California. “So have your master of ceremonies invite the wedding party and family to join you on the dance floor about 30 seconds into your first dance. This takes the focus off the couple but still gives the photographer time to get a few shots.”

No, we’re not talking about the latest bra, but a new way to walk down the aisle. Southern Cal brides are linking arms with both mom and dad, says Laurie Davies at Five Star Weddings and Events in Laguna Niguel. “People aren’t so traditional anymore—they’re open to different options,” says Davies, who notes that the new trend gives equal recognition to both parents. “Personally, I think it’s a great idea,” says Davies. We couldn’t agree more.
